Game: Power Grid - Factory Manager
Number of players: 4 - Me, Robert, Greg and Tommy
Duration of play: ~60 minutes
Notes: It carries the Power Grid title and is designed by Friedemann Friese but this is not Power Grid. But it's not bad either!
This game has some mechanics that are like PG but it is it's own game, the game comes with a bunch of quality tiles and play boards that have some good artwork on them.
From BGG itself: "Each player owns a factory and tries to earn the most money during
the game. To be successful, each player must use his workers to buy the
best machines and robots at the market and to run the machines most
effectively in his factory. Because of increasing energy prices, the
players must be careful to check the energy consumption of their
factories and to avoid using only energy-consuming machines. Otherwise,
their profit will suddenly vanish, the worst fear of a good businessman."
It's a good game i would recomend it to anyone who likes PG but want's a shorter experience.

Whaaaa? Shortest review EVAR! Seems to play well with two or more (at least it wouldn't break terribly with two). Agreed on the high quality bits. Has a slight problem with runaway victory where you can really take an early lead and go far with it. Interestingly non-direct competition. You are 90% concerned with only your own junk and occasionally you'll try to screw people, or occasionally accidentally screw people by buying something they need. Replayability is likely less than power grid, but it's a shorter game for sure.
